Frequently asked questions

Do directors really pay nothing?
When anglers register online, the $2 WeighBook fee is added on top of your entry fee at checkout — your anglers cover it and your payout is untouched. The only time you pay directly is for entries you add manually (cash collected at the ramp), which come out of credits or your monthly statement.
How is the cost calculated?
$2 per angler, per tournament — added to the angler's entry fee at online signup. 30 anglers register for your $50 event? Each pays $52, you collect your full $1,500, and WeighBook costs you nothing.
What if a registered angler doesn't show up?
You're billed for anglers who registered, not anglers who actually fished. If an angler no-shows, their entry still counts toward the tournament cost.
What's the difference between auto-bill and credits?
Auto-bill charges your card at month's end for tournaments you ran. Credits are pre-paid — you buy them ahead of time and they get used as you run events. Both work the same for the angler experience.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account starts with 100 free credits, enough for 50 angler entries. No credit card required.
Can I run a tournament without an internet connection?
Yes. Offline weigh-in mode captures weights locally on your device and syncs automatically when you're back online. Built for boat ramps with spotty service.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Credits can be purchased the same way.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no contract. If you stop running tournaments, you stop being billed.
